Health research funding opportunities

Two meetings have been arranged to provide information to faculty who are interested in obtaining health research funding. Research funding for both basic and applied projects as well as student and postdoctoral fellow funding are available through both programs. The sessions will involve a brief presentation followed by an opportunity for questions.

Both meeetings will have representatives from agencies that support interdisciplinary research in the broad contexts of health research, including the social sciences and humanities, biomedical, legal, economics, policy and management etc.

Robert Phillips, president and CEO, Ontario Cancer Research Network (OCRN) will be in attendance. OCRN is a relatively new provincial agency established to fund cancer research. A major mandate of this agency is to support translation of research to cancer care and treatment in all disciplinary areas.
