There will be a memorial service for the late John Buttrick, professor emeritus of economics in 
York’s Faculty of Arts, on Saturday, Sept. 8, at 3pm, at the Friends’ Quaker Meeting House, 60 Lowther Avenue, Toronto. The meeting house is situated at the corner of Bedford Road and Lowther Avenue in downtown Toronto.

Prof. Buttrick died in an auto accident on Gabriola Island, BC, on July 15, 2007. He was 88 years old. His family is requesting that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Prof. Buttrick’s memory to Doctors Without Borders.
