407 ETR has made a $125,000 donation to York University that will support students studying at the graduate level for years to come.
To show their appreciation to the thousands of York University students, staff and faculty who use 407 ETR, the company has made a gift to the York University Foundation, establishing an endowed fund to support the newly created 407 ETR Graduate Student Award. Starting this fall, $5,000 will be matched two-to-one by the Ontario Graduate Scholarship Program, providing a total of $15,000 to a student in the Faculty of Graduate Studies each year.
"407 ETR is used by thousands of students, staff and faculty every day," said Antonio de Santiago, president & CEO of 407 ETR. "Providing a scholarship for decades to come that will benefit students is our way of saying thanks. We also recognize the importance of education to better our community. To do that, however, students need to focus on their studies, not how they’ll pay for it."

407 ETR’s donation supports York to the Power of 50, the largest fundraising campaign in York’s history.
The scholarship is one of many ways in which 407 ETR gives back to the communities it serves. They have also donated funds to The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) and the company continues to actively support numerous other charities, organized sports and disaster relief efforts.
