Want to save money on gas and parking? Interested in reducing your impact on the environment? Why not try carpooling to York University. Smart Commute – North Toronto, Vaughan will be hosting a live Carpool Zone sign-up event today and tomorrow, outside the parking offices in the William Small Centre.

Carpool Zone is a new online tool that is currently being used by local businesses including ING Direct and sanofi pasteur. It has more than 4,000 people registered and provides a high quality of service to those interested in carpooling. By virtue of its focus on the Greater Toronto Area, Carpool Zone increases the chance that you will be able to find a suitable carpool match.
Come and sign up online to the Carpool Zone, and find a carpool partner. Everyone who signs up this week with Carpool Zone will be entered into a prize draw to win a York University Bookstore gift certificate, a Mountain Equipment Co-op gift certificate, or a gas card to help with your first carpool journey! The sign-up booth will be running today, from 10am to 2pm, and Thursday, from 12 to 4pm.
