On Saturday, Jan. 26, at 6 and 8pm, the York Lions basketball teams will play host to the fifth annual York Staff, Faculty & Alumni Night when they battle their cross-town rivals – the University of Toronto Varsity Blues – at the Tait McKenzie Centre.

This special event recognizes the hard work and contributions that these members of the York community provide to the University. Sport York will offer free admission to all staff, faculty and alumni as well as their families. Tickets must be pre-ordered.
In addition to outstanding basketball action, the evening boasts several other attractions. As with all York interuniversity events, there will be prize giveaways, including a JVC shelf stereo system and gift certificates for recreational classes in the fitness and lifestyle programs. There also be a number of special activities for children. Food and refreshments will be available in the Student Lounge and there will be a live television feed for the game in the lounge so guests won’t have to miss a second of the action.
