YSpace Investment Readiness Program With Alberta Innovates
Fast track your fundraising with the Investment Readiness Collective in partnership with YSpace, Fundraising Expert Michael Ho and Schulich’s Office of Innovation & Entrepreneurship - a team that has helped raise $400 million + in VC funding!
The Investment Readiness Program is funded by the Government of Alberta to help Alberta-based technology companies raise venture capital through expert support.

What to expect
This unique program, supported by the Alberta Government will subsidize 75% of the programming cost, up to $10,000 CAD for Alberta-based companies to unlock their fundraising goals.
Companies will gain exclusive access to support their raise led by fundraising expert Michael Ho - a serial entrepreneur, former venture capitalist (VC), and member of the Schulich VC Advisory Council. Ventures can take advantage of highly curated tools and resources to execute their fundraising goals.
Additionally, founders can access the Schulich Venture Academy a first-of-its-kind academy that helps empower the next generation of Canadian startup/venture talent, providing specialized, 30-hour certificate courses for participants to master the skills necessary to operate their startups. Participants can choose either one or multiple tracks, based on their needs.
Fundraising Deep Dive
Ventures that are looking to acquire a white glove service to build out a fully customized fundraising package.
Ventures will have access to the following services:
- 1-1 Deep Dive Sessions with Fundraising Expert Michael Ho
- Fundraising Roadmap Development
- Pitch Deck Development
- Financial Modelling
- Pitch Strategy & Refinement
Your Subsidized Cost: $10,000

Schulich Venture Academy
The Schulich Venture Academy (SVA) offers intimate cohort-based training with prominent figures in the startup/venture ecosystem. Design and transform key areas of your business - with a focus on how they are viewed by the VC world, including:
- Venture Talent - Jenny do Forno, Chief People Officer at TouchBistro
- Venture Ops - Izabella Gabowicz, ex-COO at Sensibill
- Venture Finance - Leen Li, Former CFO at Wealthsimple
- Venture Capital - Prashant Matta, General Partner at Panache Ventures

- The program is open to all Alberta resident tech companies that are actively fundraising.
- We are looking to support founders with innovative tech ventures. Founders who are driven, coachable, and collaborative with a growth mindset.
