Health Care Planning As We Age: Advance Care Planning

ON-LINE SESSION

Date:  Tuesday, November 5 . 2024

Time:  10:00 a.m.

Speaker:  Denyse Burns

It’s never too early to start thinking about your health care options, to articulate your wants and needs for a time when you are not able to speak for yourself. If something unexpected were to happen tomorrow, what care would you want to receive – or not receive? These decisions are challenging and this session will help you understand why you need an Advance Care Plan, how to select a substitute decision maker and how to create your own plan.

This session will be presented by Denyse Burns.  Denyse is the founder of Madison-Burns & Associates, a Toronto firm specializing in executive coaching, communication and Leadership consulting. She is also an End-of-Life Doula.

This webinar is the first of a three-part series, Health Care Planning as We Age, presented for the York University Retirees’ Association by the Greater Toronto Area chapter of Dying with Dignity Canada.

Registration in advance is required.  Details will be circulated to YURA members by e-mail in advance of the session.
