A short history of MSF (Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders) from the beginning to now and the differences observed in the field, illustrated with personal observations. The goal is to have an active discussion.
About our Speaker:
Eric Demers has been working at the international level for more than 15 years, first in development and now in humanitarian level. Since 2021 he has been working with MSF in two different positions from Human Resources and Financial manager to serving as a country representative. He has worked many areas of humanitarian need, including Guinea Conakry, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda during the Ebola crisis, Ethiopia and Yemen.
Presented by ARFL, the Association of Retired Faculty and Librarians at York University.
