Hetvi Shah was born in India and moved to Canada at the age of 14. She is currently pursuing an honours B.Sc. in biochemistry. During her second year she began to study molecular biology and that is when she fell in love with molecular processes and biochemical aspects of the human body. She has always been curious about cancer, and plans to pursue research in this field. She intends to do CO-OP through York University and then pursue graduate studies. In her free time, she likes to tutor, try new recipes and explore new restaurants, so basically anything food.
