Group Members / Yasaman Mahdavi-Amiri

Yasaman is originally from Tehran, Iran. She completed her undergraduate studies at Sharif University of Technology, earning a B.Sc. degree in Applied Chemistry in 2012. Then she joined professor Mario Pinto’s research group at Simon Fraser University and obtained her M.Sc. Degree in 2015. Her master’s studies focused on the design and synthesis of Mycobacterium tuberculosis cell-wall biosynthesis inhibitors. In 2017, she moved to Toronto and joined the research group of professor Ryan Hili to pursue her doctoral studies. In her spare time, she enjoys playing piano, baking, spending time with her friends and vacationing with family.
