Support for Graduate Students,
Postdoctoral Researchers and Junior Faculty
One of the goals of the CHSRF is to expand the role of research
on health and to develop health researchers whose work will influence
policy development and application, and the daily management of
health services. To support the goal, the Chair has money available
to fund a limited number of post-doctoral fellows, conference presentations,
research activities, and grant applications.
Proposals for funding under the Chair in CHSRF at York University
must have as a central question the ways in which health services
are gendered and have gendered consequences that may be different
for women in different social, economic or physical locations. The
content of the work must reflect the central question of how health
services are gendered and have gendered consequences.
Linkage and Exchange
Since the purpose of these CHSRF Chairs is to influence health
services policy and management, it must be clear from the beginning
how the work will involve partners outside the university, and how
the results of the work will be disseminated to policy makers and
health services managers. |
