The
audience analysis in Friends
Audience
analysis is research method used to examine how people read
the television show "Friends". We argue that each individual
audience member will have a different interpretation when watching the
same images and plot within an episode. The reason for various interpretations
is due to their different backgrounds, cultures and daily experiences
of the viewer. Our interpretations might be different to what the producer
intends to present.
In our group, Daniel and Rina began their audience analysis by sending
and receiving the same surveys to classmates and friends. Rina collected
17 surveys while Daniel received 15, therefore, despite the fact that
their sources were almost identical their results differed.
