Hypothesis

The hypothesis is necessary for content analysis because this is the question or idea that the analyst will attempt to prove through a quantative study. This idea will help when creating categories to count within the text that is to be analyzed.

For the purpose of my analysis of That 70s Show my main interest lies in the making and consuming of plot lines for That 70s Show. I want to know what popular television is selling its viewers as an ideal model for a teenage lifestyle.
