...is totally furnished with trendy items from Pottery Barn. As the show has progressed the living quarters have become more believable since some of the characters have gotten better paying jobs. In the beginning it was absolutely impossible to believe that Monica and Rachael could afford such an extravagant apartment in Manhattan on their chef and waitress salaries. Again, as mentioned earlier, despite the fact that settings such as these are unrealistic, it does not stop the fact that many people in the real world desire this type of lifestyle even if they recognize that it is unattainable.
