           COURSE COMPONENTS

 

 

           Essay # 1 (due Oct. 10th): 10%                                                Mid-Term (Take-home, due Mar. 6th): 15%

              Essay #2 (due Feb. 20th): 10%                                                 Final Exam (during finals): 20%

              Essay # 3 (due Apr. 3rd): 15%                                                 Participation / Discussion : 15%

              Essay # 4 (due May 21st): 15%

           The exams will consist of short answer and essay questions. Essays # 1 and #2 will be 4-6 pages, while Essays # 3 and # 4               will be 6-8 pages. The Participation / Discussion grade will consist of    both your weekly participation in the group               discussion, and also your individual effort as discussion leader.
