Cher schemed her way into pushing Tai
and Elton closer together and when a photo of Tai taken by Cher
was seen posted in Elton's locker, she was positive her matchmaking
skills were a success. However, it turns out that Elton was actually
interested in Cher, not Tai. When Elton tells Cher his feelings
for her, she is repulsed and feels horrible for hurting Tai. When
she informed Josh of the latest news he was disappointed in her
and told her she should focus more on her school work than playing
matchmaker.
A new student came to Beverly Hills
high named Christian, an incredibly good-looking guy with charisma,
good looks and a great fashion sense. Cher suddenly realized that
perhaps instead of trying to set up her friends, maybe she should
concentrate on her own, non-existent love life. Christian and
Cher became close friends and she became even more certain that
he was the perfect candidate to be her boyfriend.
However; it became clear to the audience
that Christian preferred guys to girls when at a club; he paid
more attention to the male bartender than to Cher. At the club
that night, Tai stood alone waiting for someone to ask her to
dance, and when there was no sign of an offer in sight, Josh walked
into the room and grabbed Tai's hand, pulling her onto the dance
floor. Cher was touched with Josh's chivalry and it was as if
a light bulb went off in her head, signaling that Josh was the
man of her dreams!
Cher's relationship with Tai took a
turn for the worse when Tai confessed she had a crush on Josh.
Cher was shocked at the news, she had no idea that Tai was interested
in Josh and she was incredibly confused as what to do about her
own feelings for him. Tai took Cher's lack of enthusiasm as a
sign that she felt Tai was not good enough for Josh. Tai lashed
out crude comments toward Cher and left the room.
The next time Cher was around Josh
she felt awkward around him and for the first time in her life
she had no clever remarks or comments to make. When Cher tried
to help her father with his work load, and failed miserably by
disorganizing his papers, Josh was there to support her and to
lift her spirits. Sitting together on her staircase, he embraced
her and professed his admiration and lover for her.
Tai eventually got over their argument, and began dating Travis. Tai and Cher's relationship was repaired and and Cher and Josh lived happily ever after.
