Lexicon
(2000)
A site specific installation in
the reference section of a public library. A small video monitor
is secured to a table holding a 20-volume set of the Oxford
English Dictionary. The video depicts a figure leafing through
Geschlechtskunde, a 1926 sexology book by Magnus Hirschfeld.
The looping video dissolves to a close up of a button on a
coat encircled by synonyms for the term 'lesbian'.
