Analysis
My content
analysis of an episode of the prime-time show "Fraiser" explores
how with varying degrees our society identifies with the main themes of
the show. By categorizing the topics of conversation in the episode,
"Love Bites Dog", I extend Stephan
Herrmann's argument that we are not passive viewers but we actively
"read" the texts, and argue that our degree of cultural knowledge
will determine the satisfaction we derive from the show.
