According to Rose, there are 4 steps in any good content analysis. These are : ( a )Finding the images, ( b ) Devising Your Categories For Coding, ( c ) Coding the Images, and ( d ) Analysis Results. This content analysis will be based on these 4 steps and we shall hopefully come to understand the main content of season two of this show and also come to see whether the reader has to dig deep in order to gain the full meaning of the text.

( A ) Finding the Images

As mentioned, this Content Analysis will focus on season two of the Sopranoís. More specifically, the analysis will be performed on Sopranoís episodes 14 ‚ 26. These episodes will consist of the dataset for our analysis.

( B ) Devising Your Catagories for Coding

A crucial stage in any content analysis, including this one, is devising categories in which we can categorize each episode. It is important to remember that each episode can be put into a maximum of two categories. The categories chosen for this analysis were carefully selected and are based on recurring themes in the show. The following categories were selected for this analysis:

FBI ‚ FBI seems to be a recurring theme in the Sopranoís as the FBI constantly tries to bust the Soprano organization.

FAMILY ‚ Family issues also arise within the show, especially with Tony and his wife and children.

PROBLEMS WITHIN THE SOPRANO ORGANIZATION ‚ We constantly see struggle for power and backstabbing and alliances within the show.

MAFIA BUSINESS ‚ Mafia Business refers to hit jobs, contracted jobs, collecting, etc, which are a part of any Mafia and organized crime. We can also include violence and murder as they are related to this

TONYîS SICKNESS & PSYCHIATRIST ‚ We become aware of Tonyís sickness and his relationship with a psychiatrist.
