Emily Anacleto was born and raised in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. She graduated from York University in 2021 with a B.Sc. (Honours) in Biochemistry. She worked under Derek Wilson for her undergraduate research project, optimizing a method for microfluidic hydrogen deuterium exchange coupled to mass spectrometry. Emily started her Master’s degree in Professor Hili’s research group in the fall of 2021, where she will be working on applications of mRNA display technologies such as molecular evolution of peptides for drug discovery. In her free time, she likes to read fantasy or sci-fi novels, and learn how to play video game soundtracks on piano.
