Karanveer was born and raised in India and immigrated to Canada at the age of 18. He graduated with a diploma in chemical and biosciences technology from Red River College, Winnipeg where he did an internship as a Research assistant on “The removal of pharmaceutical micropollutants from waste water streams” under the supervision of Professor Michael Judge. His past work experience includes a Quality Control analyst position at a Valeant Pharmaceuticals where his primary areas of expertise was sample preparation and analysis using chromatography system (HPLC and UPLC), and in-vitro drug release analysis using Dissolution apparatus. He is currently an undergraduate student in B.Sc. Spec. Hons. Biomedical Sciences at York University. He joined the Hili Group in Summer of 2019 as a Research Practicum student, which he will be continuing going forward. He is currently working on Surface Plasmon resonance to study and evaluate the binding kinetics and thermodynamics of ssDNA aptamers isolated by IFCE.
