The Counselling and Development Centre offers a variety of resources both academic and personal, such as information on study skills and peer counselling.

The Learning Skills Program offers "group workshops and individual counselling on topics of reading, note-taking, time management, and preparing for exams." They offer the following online guides:

The English Language Institute offers English as a Second Language courses.

The Ron Cope Gateway Resource Room serves "to create awareness of current issues facing the Deaf, deafened and hard of hearing population. We encourage everyone to access the resources we have available", including a "small specialized resource collection consisting of print, audiovisual and electronic resources which the public can access"; "a dedicated computer available to the public with access to Internet resources including Yorkline, the York University online library system"; "free access to TTY, laser jet printer and photocopier when using the resource room materials"; and "an annual bursary for Deaf, deafened, and hard of hearing students".

The York Centre for Student Affairs offers a wide range of student services including information resources and problem solving, covering all aspects of student life.
