Presentation: Collaborative Efforts to Advance Equity in Revitalization Planning

In early 2008, the Lawrence Heights site of Unison Health and Community helped launch a collaborative community initiative to advance equity and build community voice within the Lawrence Heights Revitalization process. This involved first and foremost a commitment to earnest collaboration with residents. It also included innovative dialogue and collaboration with other community agencies, Toronto Community Housing, and the City of Toronto. Ms. Kranias shared stories that illustrated strategies, milestones, learnings and hopes generated by Unison's efforts to catalyze community building and advance equity during the first three years of this neighbourhood epic.
