Mr. Ganesh Ramkumar successfully passed his M.Sc. defence on December 10, 2018. His thesis is on Dynamics and Control of Multiple Piezoelectric Actuators.

August 11-13, 2018 [Conference]

Prof. Jinjun Shan and Dr. Ti Chen received the Cosber Best Ppaer in Automation Award at the 2018 IEEE Conference on Information and Automation (ICIA) for "Distributed Fixed-Time Control of Multi-agent Systems with Input Shaping".

The IEEE International Conference on Information and Automation (ICIA) is the premier conference series presenting the state of the art and future perspectives of information and automation science, engineering and education. This year’s IEEE ICIA took place at Wuyi Mountain, China on August 11-13.

August 5-8, 2018 [Conference]

Prof. Jinjun Shan attended 2018 IEEE ICMA in Changchun, China and presented one paper on “Neural Network-based Adaptive Sliding Mode Control for Gyroelastic Body”. This paper, co-authored with Dr. Shiyuan Jia, was selected in the finalist of the best paper award.

January 31, 2018 [Members]

Prof. Shan and Marc Savoie attend AIAA SciTech Forum in Kissimmee, Florida on January 8-12. Marc presented our paper on “Modelling and Compensation of Hysteresis in Polarization of Piezoelectric Actuators”. On January 8, Prof. Shan attended AIAA Associate Fellows Recognition Ceremony and Dinner at Gaylord Palms in Kissimmee and received the Associate Fellow certificate from AIAA President Jim Maser.
